Become a Buddy: help international talents feel at home in Cesena

As part of the Cesena4Talents project, the City of Cesena is launching a Call for Buddies: an invitation to talents, Italian and international alike, who want to welcome the international talents arriving in Cesena and help them feel part of the city.
What is a Buddy?
A Buddy is a friend and a guide: someone who helps international talents find their way in everyday life in Cesena, breaks down language barriers, and nurtures a real sense of community and belonging. Buddies are the beating heart of the talent community the City is building: they imagine and lead moments of connection, culture, and informal learning, among and for international talents.
Who can apply?
There’s no age requirement, and you don’t need to be from Cesena. We’re looking for enthusiastic people, Italian or international, with a good knowledge of English. The other requirement is being a talent yourself. By talent we mean someone highly specialized: for example, people currently pursuing or who have already completed a university degree or a post-diploma specialization. Most of all, we’re looking for people who feel excited about co-organizing and leading small, informal social, cultural, and learning gatherings, and who have a genuine desire to help a community of talents grow in Cesena.
The launch event: Buddies Gathering
Everyone who applies will be invited to the Buddies Gathering, an informal evening on Tuesday 7 July at 6:30 PM, in Cesena (location TBD). It’s a chance to meet other aspiring Buddies, get to know the C4T project and the opportunities it offers, and take part in a fun co-design activity, followed by drinks together.

Nell’ambito del progetto Cesena4Talents, il Comune di Cesena lancia una Call for Buddies: un invito ai talenti, cesenati e internazionali, che desiderano accogliere i talenti internazionali che arrivano a Cesena e aiutarli a sentirsi parte della città.
Chi è un Buddy?
Un Buddy è un amico e una guida: una persona che accompagna i talenti internazionali nella vita quotidiana a Cesena, abbatte le barriere linguistiche e fa crescere un senso autentico di comunità e appartenenza. I Buddies sono il motore della community di talenti che il Comune sta costruendo: immaginano e animano momenti di incontro, cultura e apprendimento informale, tra e per i talenti internazionali.
Chi può candidarsi?
Non ci sono requisiti di età e non è necessario essere di Cesena. Cerchiamo persone entusiaste, italiane o internazionali, con una buona conoscenza dell’inglese. L’altro requisito è essere a propria volta un talento. Per talento intendiamo una persona ad alta specializzazione: ad esempio, chi sta frequentando o ha già concluso un percorso universitario o una specializzazione post-diploma. Soprattutto, cerchiamo persone che abbiano voglia di co-progettare e animare piccoli eventi informali di socialità, cultura e apprendimento, e il desiderio genuino di far crescere una comunità di talenti a Cesena.
L’evento di lancio: Buddies Gathering
Chi si candida sarà invitato al Buddies Gathering, un incontro informale in programma martedì 7 luglio alle 18:30, a Cesena (luogo da confermare). Sarà l’occasione per conoscere gli altri aspiranti Buddies, scoprire il progetto C4T e le opportunità che offre, e partecipare a una divertente attività di co-progettazione, seguita da un aperitivo insieme.
